Episode 1 of Abdelnaby tries it for you

VoiceStudio

They said: a free ElevenLabs alternative that runs on your own computer and clones your voice… I tried it myself, in Gulf Arabic.

What I tested (on a Mac M5, offline):
1) Install: 25 seconds. I read the install script before running it: it doesn’t ask for your Mac password and it checks the file is intact, but the app isn’t notarized by Apple.
2) The clone: the first try gave an error because my recording was longer than 20 seconds. I trimmed it to 11 seconds and it worked.
3) The voice really sounds like me, but the Arabic gets muddled: out of 16 takes in my voice, only 7 came out clean (going by a Whisper transcript).
4) Speed: with a built-in voice, 7 seconds of speech took 2.4 seconds. With my cloned voice, 10.6 seconds on average.

Verdict: ⚠ It works… but. Free, on your own computer, and it sounds like you, but the Arabic needs work, and the model’s license is non-commercial (CC BY-NC), so it’s not for your business ads.
💡 If you try it: record a 10–15 second sample, generate a few takes and keep the cleanest. And never clone anyone’s voice without their permission.
